  • Mark Fidel

    Mark Fidel, one of CAaNES’ owners and its President, is a New Mexico licensed attorney and serves as Executive Director of the Western States School of Banking.

    Mark began his career selling commercial insurance, and then held a series of financial positions at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and Intel Corporation. Mark was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2002 and became an associate at one of New Mexico's largest law firms, Modrall Sperling, where he specialized in commercial litigation.

    Mr. Fidel is a former litigator who founded Applied Records Management (ARM) in 2004. ARM is a records management and litigation support consulting firm. He also has a minority interest in MVP Sport Systems, LLC, an Albuquerque based sports systems software developer. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts and Economics degree with a major in Finance from New Mexico State University. He earned an Executive MBA from the University of New Mexico and his law degree from the University of Denver.

  • Valerie Romero

    Valerie Romero serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CAaNES. She has an extensive background in strategic marketing, financial management and process improvement.

    Prior to joining CAaNES, she held marketing management positions at Motion Computing and Pfizer and financial management positions at Dell and Intel. Her experience spans a variety of Fortune 500 companies as well as small start-up companies that are world-class leaders in semiconductor, computer, pharmaceutical, healthcare and automotive industries. She received her bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of New Mexico and her MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.


  • Srinivas Mukkamala

    Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala, one of CAaNES’ owners and its Chief Technology and Operations Officer is a Senior Research Scientist with ICASA (the Institute for Complex Additive Systems Analysis, a statutory research division of New Mexico Tech performing work on information technology, information assurance and protection of critical infrastructures) and an adjunct faculty with the Computer Science department of New Mexico Tech. He serves as a government and industry liaison and leads the New Mexico Cyber Strike Team to provide information and network security to CAaNES clients.

    Dr. Mukkamala has over 80 publications in the areas of information security, digital forensics, data mining, simulation and modeling, and bioinformatics. His current research is focused on intrusion and threat analysis, risk management, vulnerability assessments, digital forensics, malware mitigation and prevention, machine learning, data mining, and information security. Dr. Mukkamala received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from New Mexico Tech.
